Just a reminder that this Wednesday, Sept 10 there is an ACAA meeting at the Senior Center in Jackson.
Our featured artist will be Katherine Venturelli. Katherine is known locally for her monoprint technique in print making, and she is known nationally for her one-of-a-kind books that include her etchings and monoprints. Katherine teaches at Los Rios Community College, and she shares her skills with students and children freely and willingly. Her work has been shown in many galleries nationwide, including the Crocker Art Museum in Sacramento.
Katherine will share her monoprint style of print making at the meeting. She is vivacious and enthusiastic, so you don't want to miss this demonstration!

ANNOUNCEMENT:
Sabina Turner will be hosting the fall paint out for the California Art Club at her studio in Fiddletown. For landscape painters there will be many options nearby. The fall color in the hills, “downtown” Fiddletown, the fall vineyards nearby. There will also be a tractor and horses. For figurative painters Ron Scofield has been kind enough to agree to model for us. The space for figurative painting is limited so please let me know ahead of time if you intend to come. There is a $10.00 charge to cover expenses and tips for the model will be gladly accepted. We will start at 10:00 AM on October 11, 2014. This is an uninstructed paint out. Please RSVP to sabina@sabinaturner.com or 209-245-6581. This should be a fun day. Bring a lunch. Coffee and muffins will be available.
