Annie Hughes’s primarily red and green abstract is overwritten with lines and squiggles illustrating the opposing concepts of over/under and through/around. She was inspired by a quote on finding solutions to overcoming obstacles. Helen Wilkinson designed a fused glass plate in purple and overlaid it with dots and a diagonal in its complementary yellow. JoAnn Ogburn’s watercolor celebrates the one-in-a-million find in Alabama of a yellow cardinal among the red. A wall hanging by Sandra Wagner highlights undulations of black and white fabric punctuated with touches of red. These and other art on the theme will be shown.
Sutter Creek Gallery invites you to meet the artists at the reception, starting at 2 p.m., to view these unique creations. Twenty-five artists exhibit at the cooperative located in the heart of Sutter Creek at 35 Main Street. The gallery is open daily, except Tuesday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For additional information, call 209-267-0228, email email@example.com
