“Anything but Ordinary” is a collection of new paintings by Marleen Olive to be shown during the month of October at Gallery 10, 15 Eureka St., Sutter Creek. Marleen is an owner/member of the gallery and offers beautiful works in watercolor, acrylic and multi-media.
Nature continues to be the ultimate inspiration for
Marleen’s paintings, with a spontaneous effort towards abstract. Marleen values diversity in subject matter
and moves freely between genres and approaches.
She has come to the conclusion that the medium and technique used
matters little; it is the result that is meaningful. She is never afraid to
“break the rules.”
Marleen is a current President of the Amador County
Artists Association, and a board member of Amador Arts. She believes it is important to promote all
the arts and artists in our community.
There will be no reception for this show, due to Covid-19
restrictions, but everyone is welcome to visit the gallery any time
Thursday-Monday, 11-5, to see these exquisite new paintings. Since Marleen is a
working gallery member, she may very well be sitting at the gallery and would
be delighted to talk to you about her work!
