Gallery 10 is delighted to present “The Art of Friendship” for our June show. Catherine Woodruff and Ginny Murray have been painting together for several years, having met at a Tuesday painting group here in Amador County. Together they are proud to present artwork that represents the joy they each find in the process of painting.
Catherine is a member partner of Gallery 10 and very much
enjoys being part of the gallery. She
does watercolor and collage, with mixed media drawing more and more of her
attention. Catherine portrays her love
of birds and other animals in unique and interesting ways. She also enjoys expressing the organic beauty
of flowers using a variety of media.
Look for a tiny star in most of her collages.
Ginni started painting in watercolor many years ago,
taking watercolor classes when she lived in El Dorado County. While working as a psychotherapist, art
became her therapy to unwind and relax.
Her nature-inspired paintings are filled with loose, bright, vibrant
colors, sometimes with a hint of whimsy and an impressionistic flair. Ginni loves the loose process of watercolor,
and enjoys the challenge of filling her paintings with light, fluidity and fun.
With Amador County nearly ready to move to the yellow
tier, with the Covid emergency winding down, we plan to offer a reception for
these two artists on Saturday, June 5, 2-5 P.M.
Catherine and Ginni look forward to sharing their newest paintings with
you. The show will hang all of
June. Gallery 10 is open
Thursday-Monday, 11-5, at 15 Eureka St., Sutter Creek.
