Lynn Slade has created a new
collection of watercolor collages for her show as featured artist at Gallery 10
in May.
New Subjects. New Color Choices. New Textures.
New Ways of Seeing.
Lynn’s Watercolor Collages always
have multiple layers of paper, texture and color. This new collection springs more from Lynn’s
imagination than from real life. Colors
are chosen to convey the feeling of a place using unusual textures, all hand-made
especially for each piece. Colors also
add to the depth and richness of her work.
Lynn’s Watercolor Collage paintings
have won many awards in both local and national exhibitions, most recently in
the 2017 San Diego International Exhibition.
Her new painting “Snags 6” has been included in the upcoming 60th
Juried Exhibition at the Haggin Museum.
Lynn’s work has been published in
Watercolor Artist magazine, Splash 12, Celebrating Artistic Vision, and Eyes
On: Landscapes from Blaze Hill Press.
A reception in Lynn’s honor will be
held during the Amador Art Trek on Saturday, May 5, 2-5 P.M. at Gallery 10, 15
Eureka Street, Sutter Creek. The show
will hang the month of May. You may
visit the gallery Thursday-Monday, 11-5, to see these wonderful new paintings.
