Michelle Lee’s main passions since childhood
have been art and animals. She’s a recent addition to Sutter Creek
Gallery where she will be the featured artist for September. Lee participated in formal art classes for
sketching, painting, ceramics, and sculpting from grade school through her time
at Rutgers University where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology.
While traveling internationally, photography
became the solution to capturing the natural beauty around her. Wildlife
came into focus for her as she experimented with and taught herself basic
photography. Since getting settled in the extraordinary foothills of the
Sierras in 2013, Lee has expanded her art to include portrait and sports
photography and, most recently, mixed media work on a variety of backgrounds
including aluminum.
