New Watercolor Collages by Lynn Slade at Gallery 10
August 1 thru August 30, 2019
All new watercolor collages full of texture and color.
“In these paintings I have tried to portray the patterns
and color of the environment where I live.
I’m surrounded by a forest full of conifers, but my
favorite tree is the Madrone. Throughout the year these beautiful trees
take on many different personalities and colors. From dark red, to deep
orange, to a creamy white with touches of green; there isn’t a season when
these beautiful trees don’t take
my breath away. Consequently, I paint them often.”
Lynn Slade's Watercolor Collages always have multiple layers of
paper, texture, and color. This new collection springs more from Lynn’s imagination
than from real life. Colors are chosen to convey the feeling of a place. She
choses unusual textures, all hand-made especially for each piece, to add depth and
richness to her work.
Lynn’s watercolor collage paintings have won many awards
in both local and national exhibitions. Most recently Lynn’s painting
“Madrones” has been selected for Splash
21: Capturing Mood due out in August of 2020. “Madrones” was also
accepted into the 2019 San Diego Watercolor Society International
Exhibition.
She has been published in Watercolor Artist Magazine, Splash
12, Celebrating Artistic Vision
and in Eyes On:
Landscapes from Blaze Hill Press.
Personal Visions

10 on Eureka Street in Sutter Creek from 2 to 5 PM Stop by the gallery to experience Lynn’s new collection
